2. Then, you set permissions. You can provide neighbors with timed access, permitting them to enter and depart during a designated timeframe, or event-based admittance. For example, if a package is delivered, the system can unlock the door to let them take it inside once it verifies them.
3. Once you’ve set up access, your Google Nest Doorbell uses familiar face detection to verify your neighbor when they approach the door.
4. Your ADT system will pause the alarm and release the door lock when the person is confirmed as an authorized user.
5. You are sent immediate alerts as your neighbor comes and goes. The app also provides a complete history. 
6. Once the trusted neighbor leaves, your smart door lock secures independently to protect your home.

You are able to provide access for any individual you wish, such as a maintenance worker, pet sitter, or a friend who shows up when you’re not there. This tool is also beneficial during urgent events, specifically when you’re not around.
